Today’s Guest is Mr. Avocado!

Avocado is quite an ancient fruit. The cave drawings showing avocado are about 12 000 years old, or even older. Avocado can be found in The Guinness Book of Records as the most nutritious fruit.

It is a great treat for people, suffering from diabetes, as avocado is low in sugar, but high in vitamins and microelements, which boost the immune system and overall health.

Supermarkets and grocery stores sell avocados of different ripeness. One of the ways to ripen an avocado is to place it in a paperbag, and leave it for about 3 or 4 days in a dark place at room
temperature. A ripe avocado is soft and yields easily to gentle pressure.

50 grams of avocado contains a daily amount of carotenoids, which help keep your body healthy on a cellular level, improve skin and support healthy vision.
The person who consumes avocados regularly, may stay as cool as a cucumber (yes, that’s a great metamorphose, an avocado to a cucumber), due to B group Vitamins, which support iron nerves.

Juicy Facts

Freshly squeezed juice is considered to be very beneficial for human health. Is that true? Yes, if it is consumed in moderation: “the more, the better” rule won’t work in this case.
There are some tips one should keep in mind:
  • The average one-time amount of fresh juice is about 100 ml.
  • Freshly squeezed vegetable juice contains less sugar and organic acids, and more potassium, iron and calcium, compared to fruit juice.
  • Freshly squeezed fruit juices are rich in fructose, which may influence the sugar level and cause gaining weight.
  • Freshly squeezed fruit juices are high in acids. Acidic juices such as orange, apple, lemon or cranberry freshly squeezed juices are not recommended for people having stomach problems.
  • And don’t forget about your tooth enamel: drink your freshly squeezed juice through a straw.

Baked Stuffed Tomatoes. Fast and easy recipe.

I love this way of making baked stuffed tomatoes. The picture was taken before baking. I couldn't catch them after baking 😂

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 600 g chicken fillet, boiled
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 200 g hard cheese, grated
  • sour crème to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • some olive oil

Make the “pots”: Slice the tops off the tomatoes and set aside. Scoop out the seeds and pulp with a teaspoon, leaving about a 2 cm deep wall. Chop the pulp only, removing the hard central cores.

Chop the boiled chicken fillet, and mix with grated cheese, chopped tomato pulp and pressed garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add some sour crème to make the stuffing be like paste. Fill the tomato “pots” with the stuffing and put the caps. Drizzle on some olive oil. Bake in preheated oven about 20 minutes. Enjoy.
